This is my final, which was done in photoshop C:
Now I need to answer some questions for it :I
- What success does this image represent?
- That I want to write stories someday, writing graphic novels as a hobby.
- I have a few fail stories on my deviantART gallery, and I'm hopping to actually get some more done this summer. Hopefully...
- How well do you think you communicated this visually?
- Maybe... not as well as I'd hoped. The issue might be the lighting, but this is kind of what my desk looks like after I do a tone of planning and such; papers everywhere, supplies out of whack, and a single stack of finished work, etc..
- What could you have done better?
- I think I could have done better with the lighting and such. I actually just realized that I could have used the shape tool for the effects of the blinds rather than just drawing them in with the mouse. It would have looked much cleaner...
- I also wonder about the effect given by the text bubbles and whether it was a good idea to put those in or not. I honestly don't feel that they were needed, but I needed to fill the space in with something...
- What was well done about your image?
- In spite of what I said about the blinds and the lighting, I really like the way they came out, so that was a plus. I also like the desk. I couldn't find the top of a desk on the internet, so I had to make my own using the perspective transformation tool and the line tools as well.
- Actually, My favorite part is the little ink well XD I love the little thing lol
- What grade would you give yourself?
- 100%!
- No, just kidding. I dunno, somewhere between 70-85%? I'm not that good at grading, and I'm not sure what criterion I'm supposed to be using.
- As far as I know, I stuck to a general color scheme using analogous colors and their desaturations, and I think I made a focal point out of the book because of it's size, but then I could also argue that the text bubbles are more of a focal point because of how strong the contrast is in that area.
- What was your favorite project for the entire class?
- My favorite piece? I think might be this one and the self portrait we did at the beginning. I enjoy using photoshop, and I like using it's effects when painting. It's my favorite program out of the entire Adobe franchise. Plus I know how to use it as opposed to the other programs there...
- I also like the sculptris thing, because that was rather simple to use.
- What was your least favorite?
- I didn't really like messing with illustrator, so it wasn't exactly my cup of tea. The frustration with trying to learn it and actually use it was a bit much. when I wanted to paint I couldn't, when I wanted to draw I didn't know how, and just... it was awfully mentally taxing for me.
And that it C:
Yep
