Scluptris object C:

Ignore that on the side! D:
I was listening to songs on youtube when I took these screen shots

Graphic Design Final

This is my final, which was done in photoshop C:

Now I need to answer some questions for it :I

  • What success does this image represent?
    • That I want to write stories someday, writing graphic novels as a hobby.
    • I have a few fail stories on my deviantART gallery, and I'm hopping to actually get some more done this summer. Hopefully...
  • How well do you think you communicated this visually?
    • Maybe... not as well as I'd hoped. The issue might be the lighting, but this is kind of what my desk looks like after I do a tone of planning and such; papers everywhere, supplies out of whack, and a single stack of finished work, etc..
  • What could you have done better?
    • I think I could have done better with the lighting and such. I actually just realized that I could have used the shape tool for the effects of the blinds rather than just drawing them in with the mouse. It would have looked much cleaner...
    • I also wonder about the effect given by the text bubbles and whether it was a good idea to put those in or not. I honestly don't feel that they were needed, but I needed to fill the space in with something...
  • What was well done about your image?
    • In spite of what I said about the blinds and the lighting, I really like the way they came out, so that was a plus. I also like the desk. I couldn't find the top of a desk on the internet, so I had to make my own using the perspective transformation tool and the line tools as well.
    • Actually, My favorite part is the little ink well XD  I love the little thing lol
  • What grade would you give yourself?
    • 100%!
    • No, just kidding. I dunno, somewhere between 70-85%? I'm not that good at grading, and I'm not sure what criterion I'm supposed to be using.
    • As far as I know, I stuck to a general color scheme using analogous colors and their desaturations, and I think I made a focal point out of the book because of it's size, but then I could also argue that the text bubbles are more of a focal point because of how strong the contrast is in that area.

  • What was your favorite project for the entire class?
    • My favorite piece? I think might be this one and the self portrait we did at the beginning. I enjoy using photoshop, and I like using it's effects when painting. It's my favorite program out of the entire Adobe franchise. Plus I know how to use it as opposed to the other programs there...
    • I also like the sculptris thing, because that was rather simple to use.
  • What was your least favorite?
    • I didn't really like messing with illustrator, so it wasn't exactly my cup of tea. The frustration with trying to learn it and actually use it was a bit much. when I wanted to paint I couldn't, when I wanted to draw I didn't know how, and just... it was awfully mentally taxing for me.

And that it C:

Text art things

Not my best work I'd admit, but I got it done C:
It wasn't very easy, and took way too long... but this is my first time making any kind of text art C:
So I'm at least happy with how the strawberry came out.
This one is a Crepe... well, Supposed to be a Crepe anyway.

This one is mah strawberry C:
I like how this one came out... even if it seems a little off...

Flyer thing C:

Not a whole lot of time to explain much, but this is a project for my graphic design class C:
Done in illustrator.

And as a video game cover just for kicks XD

deviantART's logo belongs to them
ESRB rating design belongs to them as well
and Pokemon belongs to nintendo, game freak, and creatures inc.

Googol

So I was to make a critique-like thing of a company's logo.
... I'm not good at this kinda stuff though.

Anyone ever heard that Google is actually a misspelling of "googol"?
I'm actually quite fascinated with that little fun fact, but I kinda like Google's spelling better than Googol C:

Sorry Google!
I love using Google Crome so I feel a little hypocritical about doing this.
This is for a grade though, so I kinda had to...

This thing C:

Yeah... I think I like Photoshop or Sai better than this XD
We're using illustrator in class and it's irritating me, just a bit...

Yes, it's from Pokemon XD
This was something that I did from a drawing I made in sai at home C:
I kinda like the effects I could do in Sai, but I like the ability to make line art in illustrator...
I personally prefer painting programs though, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to learn this too C:

This one actually moves C:
I drew this for a group I created on deviantART
Yep...
But I still need to fix it up a bit
